Weather Pattern Press

I started WPP because I love books, yet the books we see in print today are still gatekept by a complex publishing industry (which is honestly surprising because there are so many terrible books published every year these days).

The books below are available at cost and made to order. That said, as a librarian, I’m also more than happy to operate a mailing library if you’d rather just borrow them. USPS Media Mail is a fairly cheap way of shipping books, so you would just have to cover the cost to and from.

Price list includes tax and shipping to me. Shipping to you not included but should be less than $5 if continental US.  I currently use Artifact Uprising for the photobooks and would love a cheaper high quality option if anyone has verified recommendations. I am experimenting with a sliding scale for proceeds to be invested into future projects.

A note on the name:

Weather Pattern is an ode to my favorite (read: the best) X-Men, Storm, and her origin story (look it up). I also love the line from Professor Xavier: “Yes, things are better out there. But you of all people know how fast the weather can change.” Especially apt these days. Patterns are patterns, and past does not predict future. Everything can change.

It’s also an homage to my home of San Francisco Yelamu where microclimates are the norm, and the weather over the course of the day can require as many layers as bean dip. Karla the Fog and the marine layer protect me from the heat, and naturally running hot, I never get too cold either.
